Updating cPanel and WHM can be done from within the WHM interface, and also from the server’s command line or terminal. We strongly advise that you update cPanel and WHM on all of your servers regularly.
It’s a good idea to search the server’s update preferences first before upgrading.
Follow the steps below to get started:
1- Navigate to WHM’s Home
2- Server Configuration
3- Update Preferences to accomplish this
Choose which cPanel & WHM release tier (LTS, STABLE, RELEASE, CURRENT, EDGE) the server will upgrade to.
You can update using one of these methods after you’ve chosen your preferred upgrade tier
Using the WHM graphical user interface:
Go to WHM’s Home »cPanel »Upgrade to Latest Version to update cPanel and WHM from the WHM GUI. This function’s documentation can be found here:

Manually: (Command line or Terminal)
Using the ‘root’ user to get to the command line. After that, run the following command/script:
/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/upcp
