How to Restore a Backup of a File or Folder Using WHM?

If you’re managing a cPanel server, you have the ability to create backups for any web files or folders. Within WHM, users can choose to restore a backup for a specific file or folder.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Log in to your WHM root account.
  1. Go to the Backup section in the navigation menu.

  1. Click on File and Directory Restoration.

  1. Choose the user account from the list and click View Backups.

  1. If you know the path of the file or folder you want to restore, select Enter a path and type it into the text box. Then click Show Backups.

Alternatively, you can select Browse files and directories. This will show you a list of files and folders, and you can click Show Backups next to any of them to see their backups.

  1. Once you’ve found the backup you want to restore, click on Restore.

This will prompt WHM to restore the selected file or folder from the backup.
