Steps to upload a file using File Manager:

  1. Navigate to your cPanel account.
  • In the Files section, click “File Manager” in cPanel.
  • Direct to the “directory” where the file is to be uploaded in File Manager’s main menu.
  • The “upload” icon is to be clicked. The File Upload page is displayed.
  • Overwrite existing files check box is selected to overwrite a file on the server with a similar filename.
  • Select “a file“.
  • Navigate to the location from where the file is to be uploaded. Double click on the file and it gets uploaded immediately.
  • To upload additional files repeat the steps from 5 to 8.

Downloading a file to your site:

Steps to Download a file using File Manager:

  1. Navigate to your cPanel account.
  • In the Files section, click “File Manager” in cPanel.
  • Navigate to the “directory” from where you want to download the file in the File Manager main window.
  • Click on the file that you want to download.

5. Click the “Download” icon. The file downloads.

6. Navigate to the directory on your local computer where you want to save the file, and then “save the file”.
