Web Host plays very important role in Search Engine Optimization. Search Engine Optimization is all about how to build organic result and increase traffic through Search Engines.
Google also considers the maximum uptime of a website and place the closest GEO located websites for faster result. So if you are targeting Indian market, the server on which your website is running should be in India.

The IP address on which your website is hosted does make a difference in the search engine rankings of your website. However, it is said that the loading speed of your website and the time for which the website remains offline affects the search engine rankings of your website as the algorithm of search engines can determine the time for which your website was offline and the time it takes to load.

Also, if your website is updated regularly, some of the search engine spiders remain on your website to make sure that the updated content is indexed in the search engine soon. Hence, if your website remains down for some time, the search engine spiders get this information which can definitely affect the search engine rankings of your website

In order to avoid this, it is necessary to get a decent webhosting package for hosting your website.Inorder to achieve success online, from a webhosting point of view,it is necessary that the server is always uptime and working, hence the website would always stay active.

It is important to make sure that the hosting package you choose has limited resources like disk space and bandwidth as hosting packages with unlimited disk space and bandwidth aren't reliable enough and most of the reliable hosting providers do not offer this kind of deal with any hosting package as this is not possible in the hosting industry.

As I have heard that a VPS and dedicated server offers you good server uptime than a shared hosting package. What if a webmaster has a shared hosting package, Is it going to affect your website performance and ranking as well? Also, what are the C class IP's and how can they be useful in Search Engine Optimization?
